on the road again!

i wasn't buying the low volume pop and wanted to get paid. first trade was stopped out. went after it again

what a joke. over a free case!

i wanted to short but the stop on the 1 minute was $1 away

broke a rule. next time i will break my fingers. first piece was at the whole with a stop at .90. i think the second piece around .10. when it dropped back to the whole i freaked and hit out of the whole thing.

this chart is more amazing to me. i used it as my tell to get into APOL and it collapsed way way before APOL ever did.

shorting the inverted hammer. the true stop should have been above the high wick but it was too far away. i added in as it flowed back and forth. stopped out on all of it.

buying the doji late. kept adding to it. at this point, i didn't think they were going to be able to push the market back down. i always get caught in double bottoms and double tops and i was weary of that today.

well, some okay trades today. broke rules, which is never good. i have all the tools i need to succeed. i have prepared myself for the past 5 years to save up enough money to do this full time. i guess i should have been practicing on the mental game that whole time. i need to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity i have. it is right on my finger tips. at this point, it is all mental. i can see the setups i just need to believe they will go further then i think possible.

i will be traveling for the next 3 or 4 weeks visiting family and doing an event at airventure. hope everyone is successful in the mean time. enjoy the summer. i am glad to be escaping the AZ heat. The heat isn't so bad but we have had some humid days, yuck.

for the music, something funny, sort of music related

wnice chart, no trade

bought new highs with stop on the entry candle. i guess the stop should have been the candle below.

shorted one penny from the low

shorted stopped out

nice chart, no trade

first trade stopped out. second trade was from consecutive hammer type candles

another nice chart, no trade

anyway. i think today was a decent day. as much as i want to get involved in those crazy moving stocks, i think it is best for me not too. i don't know how to trade them well. what i think i can do well, is find the stocks that are moving each day. now, i just need to hone in on the trenders. i really like the setups on the 15min chart and i love how it slows everything down. sometimes, i do make an entry from the 5 minute chart, but i get a anxious about it. like i think i am just going to be chopped around. even the crazier mover had a great doji on the 15.

what i also  noticed is, with the doji type candles, i may have to change my "doji" rule of waiting for it to break the high.that works on the 5 minute but maybe not the 15.  i may have enter/exit after it breaks the open/close of the previous candle because waiting for the stock to top over the wick would give way to much risk for me.

for the music, i can't stop listening to this guy. he is coming to scottsdale while i will be away. the "venue" where the recording takes place is strange. it seems to be some type of interactive concert over the internet. but the recording and sound is stellar.

exited all my trades because my executor started dropping again and i got nervous. i didn't want to get stuck in positions i couldn't get out of.

what amazes me. when i first started trading i thought that you could trade stocks independent of the what the market was doing. then in reviewing my trades, the ones that always worked was because the market was going in the same direction. just like here, it was a nice long setup on the 15min and it eventually caved with the market.

man, would i have loved that first spot around 1030

again, exited because executor was dropping. maybe part of me didn't think the positions would work out, but when you see the executor dropping 3 or 4 times, you start to get nervous.

i have to say, i love these 15 min charts. they slow everything down. you are not scrolling through your charts non stop every minute trying to find a good setup. you can scroll the last 5 minutes before the 15 min candle changes and see what is happening. slows everyday down, makes my day easier. well, this is only one day really at it. i would like to trade the 10 min, seems like a nice blend of the 5 and the 15, but in all honesty, there is something about them i can't pinpoint yet.

hope everyone had a good day today.

i think i am going to start linking some new music whenever i get a chance. dtf got me fired up again about music. although, i would call myself a musician, my feelings for listening to other folks music comes and goes. or for that matter, even my own desire to play.

the funny thing is, my laptop sound doesn't work so i don't even no if its a good recording or not. oh well. this one i know sounds good because i linked dtf last night from my trading computer.

mucho travejo

i am very busy with planning an upcoming event. i started to trade the QLD, and then i thought, i better not. in fact, today QLD was "easy" to trade, meaning there were shares readily available to short. That is the first time i have ever seen that.

hopefully, i can devote my day tomorrow to trading but i doubt it.

thats a nice doji on the entry and at the top

quiet post

i forgot to log on before 8pm so now i don't have the nice charts. for two days in a row, i don't really have time to expla. lots of planning for an upcoming event, some online courses, and to add to all that, canadian customs do not believe that i re-entered the U.S. in August of '08 with the goods i temporarily imported there for a show. Originally they wanted to charge 55k, now they decided 7k tax on goods because they believe i left them there, therefore i have to pay import taxes. long long story, needless to say, i am not paying them a cent because all the materials are in the U.S.
