it just felt like it wasn't going to work. i wasn't trusting this move. i told myself wait for the pullback. what good that did.

no trade

no trade

same thing like the V trade. i didn't trust the move, i wanted to wait for a pullback but i said, i have to get in it.

decent set up on the 15. sick trend all day.

looked ready to go back to highs. whoops.

i wanted to short this all day long but i didn't have the patience to watch it.

that 12:15 doji would have gotten me if i trade it.

strange entry. i thought the market would crack to lows. clearly it was in an uptrend all day so i should have been looking to get long. but how do you know?

i don't know why i get frustrated so quickly when a trade doesn't go my way. obviously, i am not believing in the probabilities yet. because i know, there is a random outcome to the trades. there is no need to get upset. it is okay to be "wrong". it throws me off some mornings so fast i just give up.

i think i am going to spend my time finding the best acting stocks. then whittle it down to a list of 10. have each chart up NT style or maybe i will just click through 'em. i need to take this back to basics. i get lost when i am constantly looking for the next setup. while all the while, the stocks i saw earlier are setting up now. it's like i miss the current setup while i am looking for the next setup.

i will have to re-arrange my screens and see how much memory this takes through NT.

  1. Heya - for some reason I can't click on any of the charts with comments on them. It is like they won't enlarge or something. The only ones I can click on are the EOD summary and SPY.

Me too on the setups - gotta watch for them. I think am going to try and make it a habit to not add anything new to the list until I check what is already on the list for a setup. The mornings can be crazy - they just keep rolling in.

  2. super strange. you are right. i blew 'em up because they wouldn't click over no matter what i did. i wonder if blogger changed something with the caption. we will see tomorrow.

also, i checked the simulation options, and enforce partial fills was unchecked. so i don't know why i get those crazy partials.

  3. I have the 'Enforce Immediate Fills' checked - maybe that is the one.

Thanks for blowing the charts up.

Heh - looks like we had the exact same long entry on V. Kind of cool. My stop was lower - did you scale out?

Great job on ETN and MA!

  4. lol, only MA. i was on the wrong side ETN. It felt like the same thing that happened with V. My stop of V was way lower, like .60 or .70 which is why i took of the first chunk. then, i said "this is b.s., i know this isn't going to work. need to wait for the pullback" so i exited. i haven't exited early in a long time but it didn't feel right. like i knew what they were doing behind the scenes. it was good to trust the instincts, just needed to get back on that horse after the retrace.

i bolted the 28 inch to the wall above my 3 22's. it kind of makes me dizzy and sick, lol. lets see what happens tomorrow. i can fit 8 stocks on the screen. i want to try to find the best 8, and check 'em every 10-15mins. i need an alarm to go off over 15min so i remember.
